Default Copenhagen Card cover airport train?

The Copenhagen Card covers much of the transit system of the
Copenhagen area. From what I understand, it will cover trains to
Helsingør, Hillerød, and Roskilde. Does anyone know if it covers
the train from the airport to Copenhagen Central Station?

Yes. Ordinary tickets are valid onboard included various rail passes

Also for ,that matter, all rail and bus traffic north Elsinore,Hillerød in
north Sealand.
And to a few stations south and west Roskilde.

Actually, if you mention it to the agency when buying your plane
ticket, your ticket can be a valid train ticket from the airport as
well, at no extra charge. For some reason this has never really caught
on. I guess many agents are simply unaware of the possibility. Or it's
only for SAS flights.

The Copenhagen Card has just been approved to continue. It has so far
been an experiment to see how popular it would become, and its success
has ensured its continued existence.

I never heard of this, thanks. I will be flying on SAS so I will ask
them when I buy my AirPass. Does the agency actually give a train
ticket or is it some sort of voucher?

Most European cities offer a "City Card" and it is very convenient
for tourists who wish to use public transit. Tourists do not have to
worry about strip-cards, individual tickets bought at tobacco shops
or ticket machines. They should improve the information on their
website though, as the description could be more complete at
http://www.woco.dk/composite-37.htm

It's the plane ticket itself which is used. When it was introduced I
tried using it (without knowing about the need to have it "amended"),
and it was the plane ticket that was demanded in order to check for
its validity.

I'm afraid that my influence with the WoCo guys is rather limited.
However, as long as the City Card was an experiment, there wasn't too
much incentive for them to do too much about it, I suppose. That it IS
a good idea is pretty much common sense to most - I don't think that
its success came as a surprise to very many. :-)

How does that work? I am flying on Scandinavian to CPH this week. Got
the ticket (paper one). What do I need to do if anything?

Copenhagen Card pays back only if you visits some museums or attractions.
For just travelling there's a less expensive 24h "klippekort" at 100DKK.
Must be stamped and is then valid 24h in all zones.

I agree with this comment. I found the details to be very sparse.

I found a website with 1999 prices.
6 years seems a bit long to be undecided about an experiment.

:-) Absolutely true. However, I have met or heard of few tourists that visit Copenhagen and do not visit any museums or attractions at all. MICE travelers are another story.

There is also a "Flexcard", which is not tied to a specific person,
available for 7 days, giving unlimited travel in all zones for DKK
420.

Glad you like it. :-)

I don't need the kind of statistics the use of cookies offer. The
couter used gives more than enough information for my needs. So why
bother people and prolong page serving times?

Woops - make that DKK 470.

Unfortunately HUR, the regional traffic company, doesn't offer the
prices in English at the website (www.hur.dk- look for "PRISER OG
BILLETTYPER").

I used the Copenhagen Card back in 1993, so the experiment has been
going on for longer than 6 years.

I participate in things like meetings on tourism strategies, not the
more specific offers like the Copenhagen Card I can't say why they
have needed that kind of time to evaluate the offer. But whether it's
been classified as a temporary or a going concern offer is rather
immaterial to end users, isn't it?

Yes. I didn't care if it was an experiment or not. It saved me a lot
of money.
