are there other good options I am not sure of the hotel yet but probably

Frequent trains is the best opition for public transport.
12 min to the main station "Hovedbangården" and continues north to other
stations and Elsinore.

Around 12km to city centre so a taxi isn't execeptional expensive.
Was some time ago but I would guess something like 100-150DKK to a city
hotel.

I never took a taxi between the city and the airport
.

Unless you arrive *really* late in the night, have a huge amount of
luggage or a hotel which is far away from any train station, the train is
a good option.

Taxi would be around 150-200 kr.
By train:
http://www.cph.dk/CPH/UK/main/gettin...rain/index.htm
You´ll need a 3 zone ticket, costs 25,50 kr for each of you. That
ticket will be valid as well if you transfer from the train to a
bus, metro or the S- trains. (for 1,5 hour I think!)

Thank you Lennart, Kristian and Axel. We will have too much lugage
(going on a cruise) so taxi will probably be best. It looks like we will
stay at the First Hotel Vesterbro which looks good at least according to
Michelin. Are there any good choices for restaurants nearby that won't
cost an arm and a leg?
thanks again

One place I would recommend is the turkish Ankara. They have 4 places
around Copenhagen, one them at Vesterbrogade 35, right next to your
hotel: http://www.restaurant-ankara.dk/
I´ve been at the Ankara twice before (allthough not at that
particular one ) and found it be very tasty food and very good value
for the money. The big hit is the all you can eat buffet for 89kr. And
as if that isn´t enough there´s even belly dancing in the weekends!!!
Anyways,if that isn´t to your liking you´ll find Vesterbrogade is a
lively street and it shouldn´t be too hard to find a reasonably
priced place to eat around there.

Belly dancing in Denmark of all places! It is truly a marvelous world we
live in. (Of course we all know about "Italian for Beginners")
