Como IT day trip visit Swiss

We will be visiting Lake Maggiore, Como and lakes eastward.
We want to take a day trip to a Swiss town via auto.
My maps are not very explicate, any suggestions will be appreciated,

Bellinzona is nice with its Castelli and there is always Lugano, a pretty
city on the lake shore.
