There is a new Centre Parc complex opening in France, called Parc Le Lac
d'Ailette. It's scheduled to open in June 2007. However, when you select
your country of origin as being Great Britain, on the opening page of the
www.centreparc.com website, which allows access to the rest of the website
showing details of all the villages, you won't find any reference of it at
all - it's as if it didn't exist. However, say you're from Netherlands,
France or Germany and click on the list of villages to make a reservation,
and there is the new village sitting in with Le Bois Franc and Hauts
Bruyerers in the French list..
If this is a way of trying to stop the Brits from invading yet another
continential Centre Parc village, they have failed because I'll make sure I
tell all my friends about it, especially given the fact that I know I'll
never go to a UK one because they are so overpriced compared to ones on the
Continent. However, perhaps one plus point is that because Parc Le Lac
d'Ailette is much closer than Les Bois Franc, I'll let the French have that
one back for their own.
