Hello!
My family and I are renting a canal boat for a week's cruising in France.
I've not found much 'net discussion on canal boating- any suggestions for
forums? Am interested in learning from others on their experience in
keeping the boat and our belongings secure as we bike or visit towns along
the way.
regards, skg

I cannot be sure that things have not changed, but we spent three weeks on
the Nivernais canal in the mid eighties. The boat had a lock on the door --
we regularly cycled into towns, day and late nites, for several hours at a
time. Never had the slightedt hint of trouble ( except that it is pitch
black at nite!)
