Why pay hundreds of dollars for something just because it has a designer
label on it? In the US the same thing (probably from the same factory in
China) sells for $12 a pair.

i do not think it is only a designer's name
I would say quality is different.-
and. as it is my eyes..
I would not risk.
everybody here knows that things made in china have less value than their
prices..
most of the items made in china do not respect
any norm.. and in fact they are dangerous.

That's just ridiculous. Huge numbers of US and Europe companies get their
merchandise made in China. Just because it's label as a US or European
company don't mean squat.

well
many companies have their own factories or suppliers in China.
But they superwise and approve the production,
and give a quality warrant.
without that, it would be almost impossible to sell chinese products at
certain levels ( computers, telephones, and so on )
again, most products must be sold only if they respect a few european
standards ( toys for instance... )
a lot of chinese stuff do not respect these norms.
they are sold unofficcially.. and when police gets hold of them they are
confiscated.
besides.. China does not respect trade marks agreements. they just copy
things. and sell them.
As far as I know, China is number one in the world
production of false items.

Yes that is true. Still these merchandise are made in China.

Yes again true. Still lots of Chinese products are sold legally in both
Europe and the US.

well sunglasses should protect eyes from unwanted radiations..
so lenses are the best filters for it

If lenses are not good.. they will not do their job.

Why? 99.99% of the world goes unprotected. What happens to them?
Fried Iris?

Fried Iris (in the sense of the flower, the light violet one) is pretty
good, stuffed with chocolate and ricotta (cottage cheese). :-)
