Default Brussels - urban transport strike on 22 Oct.

Few if any bus, tram or metro services scheduled to be operated by the
STIB/MIVB in the Brussels Region will be running on Friday 22 October 2004,
as the personnel is on a 24-hour strike (until 22h00) in protest about
working conditions. However, limited alternative services in Brussels
operated by the Flemish and Walloon Regional bus companies De Lijn
(www.delijn.be and www.infotec.be ) should be running normally. If
travelling by rail to or from the main terminals in Brussels, note that your
ticket is probably valid for connecting travel by local rail services within
Brussels ( www.b-rail.be ).

Regards,

- Alan (in Brussels)
