in a similar arena, what's going on with duty-free shops in airports
that sell wine, beer and spirits?

Are they offering/able to package their goods to check in the plane's
hull or are they not selling those items any more?

And in the end it's *just* beer, there are many score to chose from wherever
you are...it's not like being behind the old Iron Curtain and having to
smuggle jeans or rock records or something.

Cycle 8,000 feet up a mountain, without reducing the pressure, and see what
happens to your tyres.

How simple minded are you to think that's the reason for the trip?

As you point out one can find MOST types here in the US but not all.

Why you and others feel a need to respond with such useless and
unhelpful opinions is well beyond me. Does it make your day to see
your opinions on the screen??

Neither one. Isn't St Pauli Girl Canadian??
It's primarily beer from The abbey of Saint Sixtus of Westvleteren,
Belgium

You obviously drink only to get drunk and are unable to enjoy an
occasional glass of beer that is unique and differrent than the beers
at the local grocery store or bar.

Why even bother responding when you can't offer anything that could be
helpful.

Assuming you like beer you have to know that beer from a barrel served in a
bar is superior to beer from a bottle or can.

I doubt he can get a keg or barrel in his carry-on.

Reason for the trip ??
Was it really really so complicated ? To bring 30 bottles of beer by
air over the Atlantic you'll need a substantial amount of airplanefuel to be
wasted.
Which contributes to the green house effect. And furthermore the impact
on environment from air transport is estimated to be twice the impact from
land transport fuel.
But if you now , for some odd reason, prefer to have New Orleans destroyed
once again it's your own business. I've no real estate nor investments
there.
