Default The Boxty Variations: Chard Hash

"There's this Irish-American guy in Croatia researching a book about
Dalmatian food and blogging the stuff he cooks." - overheard in an
internet discussion forum recently

That would be me. I am still in Croatia, researching the traditional
cuisine here while blending a mind-numbing array of world culinary
influences. Today, it's the classic Irish boxty with blitva (Swiss
chard), a favorite leafy green vegetable throughout Croatia.

I suppose I would have to defer to inhabitants of Ireland for an
answer but I've never heard of Boxty with cabbage or such. For
reference, and here come the wild Celts, it's an Irish form of
Rosti :-)

Taking cover,
James Silverton.
