Best pre-Christmas day trips from Paris?
Any place with a particularly good holiday atmosphere within an hour
train ride of the city? I'm thinking of perhaps Rouen (have visited
before), Chartres (ditto) or Reims (would be first time there). All
suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Probably not what you're looking for but I had a great day 2 years ago out
at La Defense where there was a Christmas market with entertainment and food
etc topped off with a trip to the top of La Grand Arche for a buffet lunch
including all the wine you could drink.. Smashing day!

Rheims is always good...you can visit the champagne houses and and taste and
explore the underground tunnels where the wine is made and stored.
