Best place to meet in Heathrow
I was hoping someone with a lot more knowledge than I of Heathrow
airport could suggest a good meeting place for myself and a fellow
traveler. I am meeting her there after her flight, but I may not get
there before she lands. I was looking for an easy to find spot to meet
her at in the airport, near arrivals.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

I guess to a large extent it depends on what Terminal (1-4) she's arriving
at, and how you're travelling into London or wherever from the airport.
You'll find a heap of drivers etc waiting for passengers just outside the
arrivals hall holding up placards. Why not wait there?

Do what most people seem to do and just say that you'll meet her in
arrivals, then use your mobile phones to specify the exact place once you
are there.

Indeed or at a push, maybe the "Meeting Point" in whatever terminal
arrivals your going to be at, as a fallback. That is the reason
airports always have these...

All airports have a "meeting point" exactly for this purpose. Tell your
friend to meet you there. Both of you merely have to find your way to that
point. It should be signed, and there is only one.

You're posting from the US so I'll assume it's an international flight
arriving at Terminal 3.
As others have mentioned the meeting point at the exit from the
arrivals hall is the most obvious place. But it can be quite a zoo and
you may not want to stand there forever.
There's a little cookie shop just to the right as you exit the
arrivals hall, like a Mrs. Fields stand though it has a different
name. Maybe linger there over a snack and a cup of coffee while
waiting to meet up.
The T3 arrivals area is not really big (in fact Heathrow seems
physically undersized for the traffic it carries), so if you just hang
out for a while you'll run into each other.

A great number (most?) international flights from the USA arrive at Terminal
4 too.
