Default best/cheapest way from Paris to London and back

Hi all.
First, thanks to all who sent hints for getting rental cars in Paris, I
really appreciate it.
Second, can any one help me with the best/cheapest way from Paris to London
and back?
Thanks in advance, again.......

the best is Eurostar, the cheapest probably a coach.

And you have a wide choice of airlines operating as well... BA, bmi, Air
France, EasyJet, flybe....

Depends on what airport you want to depart/arrive, and how much you're
prepared to pay. Personally, if you're going city centre to city centre,
I'd take Eurostar..

I am going in July and taking an Air France flight from London to Paris for
about $100. I found it cheaper than any of the rail fares for the days I'm
going.

How much is carfare? I don't think the trips to & from the airports
are all that cheap.

I am rather biased in favour of Eurostar for that kind of journey,
but it has to be said, it has never been particularly cheap, more's
the pity.

However, since March this year, they have been offering what they call
"permanent" lowish Leisure class fares of £59 return, (or £109 First)
London-Paris/Brussels. Surprisingly, these are theoretically available
even at short notice, and even more surprisingly, seem to be available
without the usual compulsory Saturday night away for Leisure fares. (They
cannot be exchanged though). However, they are rationed at that price, so
in practice, you have to get in early, unless you just happen to be lucky,
that the seat you want is available.

Check availability on http://www.eurostar.com/

On the other hand, if you don't mind being shoe-horned then tied down into
some tiny seat with no room to stretch and nothing to eat or drink, and
don't mind having had to get up at the crack of dawn to get an expensive
ride to some godforsaken landing strip out in the sticks somewhere, don't
hesitate to look for one of the many cheap airline tickets as an
alternative :-) .
