Due to carrying one extra item as a favor, I need to make a once in a
lifetime exception to my rule of never taking a taxi while traveling.
Can anyone tell me what's a fair price to pay for a taxi from Tegel to
Ka De Ve /Ku-dam/Europa Center area? Who's generally trustworthy and
who or what should I avoid in the way of "taxis"? thanks in advance

There are no rip offs in taxis at Tegal the fare is the fare from all
cabs and there are 100's, I would expect to pay around £12/£15
(Engish Pounds) The cheaper method is to use the bus and nearest
underground line which combined is only £2/£3 and is very efficent and
clearly marked a Rough Guide book on Berlin will give you exact prices

Estimate: around EUR 15

They're all legitimate, no need to fear ripoffs. You pay what the meter
says (tip if you feel like it), and that's it.
You might consider using public transport anyway. The express bus X9
travels right from Tegel airport to Zoo station, it has extra space for
baggage. Don't accidentally board express bus "TXL", since that one doesn't
go to the Western city.
