maybe, but you still have the wrong impression.
I'll almost certainly be in a restaurant some time after 10 pm,
probably in a bar afterwards for coffee and brandies.
Probably end up sitting on the Ramblas talking until they start
washing the streets.
As for clubs, what do they have to offer me that I want?
"It's in night clubs that you can
hear the very best of pop culture music (jazz, rock, folk, and to
whatever the local culture listens) and song and see some of the
best dancing done anywhere as well as see some comics"
Comics in spanish? The rest of it seems all music and dance. I do
a few flamenco performances when in Andalucia, but thats about
it. I generally watch some dance in London in concert form, again
usually flamenco, and of course thats not that much about dance.
Pop and rock is going to be very loud and i'm not much
interested, folk and jazz clubs are better, but again i'm not
that interested beyond buying a few CDs.
I think that might be the central point here, you are interested
in dance and i'm interested in cuisine and conversation, so i'm
in a restaurant and youre in a club, you will have a hard job
convincing me I should be in the club.

Apparently little or nothing. Dif'rent strokes.

Not necessarily.

I'm interested in most, if not all, of the performing arts and
performing one of them, Social Dancing, gives me more pleasure than
just about anything. Early this evening I danced to a near-perfect
17-piece band with no amplification whatsoever (what a joy!); later
(at another gig) to recorded music that was just loud enough to hear
well for dancing but did not restrict, in the slightest, conversation.

So am I as "692 for group:ba.food author:Icono author:Clast" reveals.
Some get copied to rec.travel.usa-canada (and maybe here), in answer
to enquiries.

We not only talk while dancing, at dances we also talk when we're not
dancing.

I'm in both. Sometimes they're the same place.

I have no intent to do so. Earlier in this thread, the impression was
given that only dancing happens in night clubs. I merely pointed out
that that's not true.
