We are off to Barcelona next week, We are arriving at Girona airport, we
know that there is a bus service from the sirport to Barcelona but how much
will a taxi cost,
Any info or suggestion of where to see or eat while we are there would be
great.
take into consideration that a 15 year old is in the party.
Thanks

Barcelona's been covered a lot in this newsgroup, with at least a couple
of threads very recently - rather than typing it all out again can I
suggest you go to http://groups.google.com and search for "Barcelona
group:rec.travel.europe" - you'll find plenty.
wrt the teenager, a few ideas. You might consider seeing if you can get
tickets to a football match if they're into that.
At the very bottom (sea end) of the Ramblas there's a big modern complex
sticking out into the water which includes an aquarium, fast food, shops
and so on - might be good for a culturally non-challenging few hours.
(Actually it may not be called the Ramblas that far down, but you'll see
what I mean on a map.)
Also worth knowing that a lot of cinemas in Barcelona show films in
English.

Pick up a free copy of "guide out to Barcelona" - it includes
restaurants, bars, shopping & fun stuff. It comes out monthly and is
distributed around Barcelona at many bars, restaurants, hotels,
tourist information offices, internet cafes and also at the Aerobus,
Barcelona Tours and Orsom Catamaran.

Bart
