Anyone been in Mougins?
 

My whole familiy have decided to celebrate my Parents 60 years
anniversary in Mougins, France. We need recommendations on both hotels
and restaurants. We are not looking for the most luxury ones, but seek
a charming hotel in the centre of Mougins (but preferably quite), with
a nice restaurant with good food. Would be very happy for any
recommendations!

According to Michelin, the best hotel is the Mas Candille, 4-star, Address
bld C. Rebuffel - Mougins, Telephone 04 92 28 43 43, Fax 04 92 28 43 40,
E-mail [email protected], with restaurant (4 red "forchettes").
"Superb 18C country farmhouse and its more recent mas in the middle of a 4ha
park of Mediterranean trees. Refined yet "cosy" rooms, spa, exquisite
outside dining areas and guaranteed quiet."

The 3-star Hotel Mougins, Address 205 av. Golf - Mougins, Telephone 04
92 92 17 07, Fax 04 92 92 17 08, E-mail [email protected]. It
also has a resto, with 3 spoons-and-forks, in red. "The
delightfully-Provençal rooms of this hotel occupy former farmhouses (choose
one away from the road) that are scattered around a sweet-smelling lavender
and rosemary garden." This is out of the centre of town, though (I think,
from the map).

Other restaurants listed are the Moulin de Mougins (with 4 spoons-and-forks
and 2 rosettes, in red) and the Ferme de Mougins (3 red forchettes). You

the best restaurant in Mougins itself is l amandier; just a bit outside
the village you have the excellent Moulin by Vergé which is one of the
best in france
regarding hotels, check on http://www.guideriviera.com
you will find all hotels in Mougins there
