Anyone been to the Grand Hotel Jeanne d'Arc 3 in Paris (Marais) recently
Hi all,
I'm surprising my 12-year-old with her first trip to Paris (did
wonderfully in her first year of French class and is a serious dance
student). I haven't been there since '85 when I was a backpacking
student and stayed in the Latin Quarter ;-) . I've always loved the
Marais district though and have narrowed the choices down to the
Castex or the Grand Hotel Jeanne d'Arc after having read numerous
threads and Jack's site.
The price differential is rather considerable and given that our
airfare will be hefty, I wouldn't mind saving some $$ by going with
the Hotel Jeanne d'Arc, but I haven't seen any recent mention of it on
the newsgroups.
Can anyone weigh in? Any other suggestions?
I can't wait to share one of my favorite cities in the world with my
daughter.
Thanks and any other advice would be appreciated...we will be there
mid-August

I kept digging and the reviews were consistently good so I went ahead
and booked a room.
Guess I lucked out that they had an opening!
Thanks for the input, Mark.
