Any feedback on these two Munich area hotels?

The InterCityHotel Munich? (I ask because this popped up on the
Steigenberger website -- one I checked since we have always enjoyed the
Steigenberger in Bad Homburg).
Steigenberger Axelmannstein. (I'm in love with the photo and description).
I gather this is outside of Munich.

This is in Bad Reichenhall, just 135 kms/85 mls out of town.

This is in Bad Reichenhall, just 135 kms/85 mls out of town.

I appreciate the warning on the first. I'd like to stay in Munich for a few
days and take hubby out of town, possibly up to the second which is quite
close to Salzburg, too, from what I gather..

AFAIR I stayed there in 1967, the first time I visited the
Oktoberfest, the opening procession passed by immediately below the
bedroom window.
Despite it's location it was cheap and O.K. I'd guess that it is no
longer cheap.
