Strange indeed. Makes you wonder what else you might be missing and never
know it.
Can you hear me now?

In Canberra I was tempted to buy one made from kangaroo skin, complete
with fur. I bought a foam one, which I've since lost in an office
relocation. I'm sure I've seen them for sale in London.

There's a tale about an American couple visiting Northern Ireland who
went to a local bar run by an eccentric landlord and asked for ice for
their whiskeys. The landlord, in his broadest Antrim drawl, said, "Ice?
The last time we saw ice in Lisnagunogue it was February."

No doubt. I should think colonoscopies would already be uncomfortable
enough for anyone.

You should be able to get a cooler at a camping store if you don't want
to carry one all the way to Ireland with you.
Most pubs have ice - if you ask nicely enough (after buying some
drinks, of course) and have a suitable container they'll surely give
you some. They will likely have run out if it's really hot, though!
