I haven't heard any making excuses.

There have been riots in other countries.

I already know that. Have you ever heard of "Gremlins"? I can inform you
if you haven't. They are a section of marginalized immigrant French youth
that most French have never heard of. I have met some in person. In a
place most people, even French, don't go.

I am not confusing anything with anything. When I talked about
Schadenfreude, I was thinking about what I know, and what the original
poster doesn't even begin to understand.

Most european countries have accepted immigrants.
Immigrants that have integrated, and were quickly accepted
and who now are considered as National of those countries.
I'm thinking of all the people, who not only speak, act, feel like,
look like the British (though proud of their old _ foreign _ family names),
quite a few of our politicians are fairly recent immigrants.

What is NOT said or mentioned by our politicians
is that our problems are mainly with the Muslims and
with the large influx of unwanted people from Africa.

I don't think we have too much to fear from Polish plumbers.

That is true. But the original poster's insinuation was that I did not know
that fact.

There were riots in Brussels about 2 or 3 years ago. Nothing comparable.
Police harassment was cited as the spark.

There have been similar disturbances, to those in France, in Belgium
in the last 7 days.
