[OT?] Tel Aviv, Israel
 

Hi All

Sorry for posting this in .europe, but I can't find a better
place. Any suggestions?

I'm going to Tel Aviv for 45 days and would like to stay
somewhere north of the city. Googling "extended stay tel aviv"
gives me a few places downtown, but I would like to find
something cheaper than the 50$/day, which seems to be the rate
for these hotel-like places. How can I find such a place?

Secondly, I would like to rent a car for the entire
period. Any recommendations/warnings?

Israel and the "Middle East" are outside the group's mandate; please
use rec.travel.asia instead.

I'm sure you can find a Palestinian hotel which would put you up for
$50/night. Of course you might get kidnapped and held for ransom, and
the kidnappers would chop off fingers, toes, ears etc and send them to
your relatives in the hope of collecting. Maybe you should just pay the
going hotel rates and stay in a nice Jewish hotel?

how would you know, neither religion would let a porker in the
country....
