The one-way fares are A$ 149 for Gold and A$59 for Standard service. In my
opinion, if you are only likely to make the journey once, the Daylight Gold
Service is worth the extra money. The scenery is interesting if not
'breathtaking' but on the occasion I tried it, there were more tourists than
Australians.

Forgive the daft question. Do you sleep on the daylight service? If not
why is the Daylight Gold worth the extra?
Thanks,

See http://www.gsr.com.au/overland/gold.htm for details. Gold provides
