Hello,
I am researching and preparing a trip for a family of five starting in
Adelaide Feb 24, ending in Melbourne March 12. I would have liked to include
the Flinders Range (Wilpena Pound), but I understand that it would be too
hot there at that time of year. Therefore I am considering Mt Remarkable in
order to still get a feel for the Flinders. Would that be reasonable, or is
it too hot there as well?
I would also appreciate comments on our other tentative destinations along
the way: Kangaroo Island, Coorong, Borassa, Murray River, Grampians, Great
Ocean Road. Thanks a lot for all comments!

Others might suggest otherwise, but we visited Mt Remarkable on the way to
Port Augusta and were 'underwhelmed'. I wouldn't make the trip specifically
to visit Mt Remarkable, and in particular at that time of year. We were
there in early March and it was still quite hot.

Hi Robm
If you are going to the Flinders Ranges go it is very good take an early
air flight over the Wilpena Pound it is very good it will be hot then l
would not go to MT Remarkable it is not that much to see the rest of your
trip is well worth seeing the Grampians and the Great Ocean Road will be
the best to see l think have a good time.
