Default Jobs in Australia

I am considering moving to Australia. I would like to live in western Au,
hopefully some remote type costal area, and get a decent job there.
Nothing out of reach, I just want a decent paying job, enough to live off
of, and such. I currently live in the US, and just want out of here. If
you have any websites, advice, etc, please post. Thanks!

Suggest you check out the Immigration Department website first to see if you
qualify for entry.
I know you haven't given much information but from what I read between the
lines I would doubt it very much if you would qualify.

I'm not in trouble with the law or anything like that, i'm just a 20 year
old guy with very little direction in life, and nothing for me here.

I graduated high school, and am currently in college. So, don't assume to
much.

Well matey, I hope they improve your grammar at college, because I think
you'll find literacy is one of the requirements for entry to Oz.

Australia is not desperately chasing migrants from English-speaking
countries, and you may have some difficulty getting in. As the others
mentioned, it's recommended you read up on the immigration requirements to
find out if you qualify - or if you don't, what you need to do. I suspect
finishing college would be a good first step.

After checking the immigration site you could try Rio Tinto and BHP Biliton
websites. They are both large employers here in the NW of WA and advertise
their vacancies on their sites.

Many "youngsters" come to Australia on a two year visa. You have to be
under 30 years old, I believe, to qualify.

I thought you could only get a working visa for 12 months (not 2 years) and
even then you areonly allopwed to work for 3 months straight for any one
employer.

Mate,
Australia is not Mexico!! Immigration is difficult, unless you have skills
at a high level that we need; or a great deal of money to invest in the
country. Reading your posts I doubt either pre-condition is met!

Go to:

All will be revealed!

Not Mexico, now that's a good one... I think you mean "not the US", don't
you? Bit of a Freudian slip, that one.

I wonder where the 100 000 people a year coming here are from? It's not
Mexico...

Just what we need is another 100 000 a year, when our unemployment (adjusted
realistically for those who have given up, or are capable of work) is in the
low teens.

Third world/banana republic, here we come!
