Frustration--help N.Z.
Any one have any idea what a taxi (rough idea) would cost from
Auckland International Airport to the Parnnel area of Auckland. That is from the taxi rank at the airport and not one of those pre booked taxi,s
After four days searching I am no further ahead than when I started on the web and letters written to N.Z. tourism.
Also are the prices per person or per taxi.

Budget on $NZ50, may be more, may be less. Also depends on traffic. Number
of people should make no difference to the fare.

Do you need a taxi? There are shuttles, they cost around $25 a person
and the Airbus will take you to Parnell for $15. According to the
Auckland airport website, the taxi into town is around $40, with extra
for each passenger carried.

Airbus doesnt go to Parnell, you'd be best off catching the Airbus to
Britomart then catching a taxi ($10 max) or a 5 minute bus ride ($1.30) to
Parnell.

Have they stopped this recently? I went by airbus to Parnell earlier
this year - you get swapped off the main airbus onto a chopper size bus
that goes straight up Parnell rise.

Take the shuttle - quick(ish) & cheaper than a cab, if you're on your own

Think that we will opt for Maxes Shuttle service. It sounds nearly as conveniant as a cab.
