Formule 1 opens at Sydney Airport (Next to the Krispy Kreme outlet!)
From 'Travel Biz Daily' -
Formule 1 opens at Sydney Airport. Accor has opened a Formule 1 property at Sydney Airport. The budget property's opening follows Sydney Airport's most successful six months on record, with passenger traffic set to continue growing strongly into 2005. The hotel's general manager, Vickie O'Brien, said she had been turning away potential guests for weeks, taking 74 bookings before its opening was advertised. With passenger movements at Sydney Airport now reaching more than 66,000 daily and more than 26 million a year, Formule 1 said it provided a true budget international hotel at the airport, with rooms from $69 per night and continental buffet breakfast at $6 per person. Guests can park for a flat rate of $10 per day and the hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle to the International terminal, with the domestic terminal within walking distance. The 130-room motel offers a variety of room types and configurations including queen bed plus single bunk, queen bed plus double bunk and interconnecting disabled rooms on each floor. 4 February 2005 -- Tony Bailey Mercury Travel Books |
