Default Flight to australia

I am hoping to go to Australia for one year to work and visit friends
and family they live in Newcastle and Melbourne. I live in Poole in
the UK so london would be my airport of choice. what I was wondering
is does anyone know of any companys that do cheap flights over there i
have a budget of about £500. i dont know if its possible to get there
on that but if it is please reply. I dont know when I am able to go at
the moment but I hope it would be in the next year.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul,
last week I booked flight Frankfurt - Darwin / Perth - Frankfurt with
Royal Brunei Airways here in Germany departing in march 2004. They
charged me about 900 EURO.

It depends when you go. If you go in the UK summer you won't get a flight
anywhere near that cheap as a lot of people want a flight at the same time.
I paid £672 for my return flight to Sydney and that was a bargain.

Try these people http://www.ozflights.co.uk/ for some good offers

I found a flight on the following site to Melbourne return from Heathrow
with Thai Airlines for under £600. OK, they weren't the best airline to fly
with but a very cheap flight all the same.

My wife and I recently flew Australia/UK and return on Thai Air and
found them just fine. The only drawback is the delay in Bankok, 6
hours out and 2 hours back.
