Default Climate question

I'm planning on taking a Grand Circle tour to Oz and NZ early next year that
will do the usual Cairns-Sydney-NZ route.

I'm trying to figure out what the best chances for good weather are for the
trip, overall, allowing for heat and the rainy season. I could go Jan, Feb
or March.

Appreciate any advice.

You don't say how long you'll be travelling - assuming 1-2 months, since
that is Wet season in Cairns I suggest you start in NZ as late as possible -
Feb is the peak tourist month (because the weather is usually best then),
then Sydney & hit Cairns late in March. This won't guarantee you miss the
cyclone season but may be less humid.

a/k/a Stingers - deadly, in case anyone is thinking, "ah, jellyfish are no
big deal."

Some beaches have stinger nets which make it possible to swim in very
limited areas during the dangerous season - obey!!

March...definately March! It is way too hot and wet up north in January and
February.

But start with NZ, as it will be getting cooler and wetter.
