There seem to be so many phone card plans - what are the best as far as
voice quality - reasonable cost, mostly from public phone in NZ, with
occasional calls to/from mobiles - from NZ to AU?
TIA

Not from a public phone, meaning a payphone, from what I can see from
the Telecom site.

My partner spent 2 weeks in NZ in November and was recommended a Yabba
card:

Cost him $15, made quite a few calls to Australia and within NZ during
the 2 weeks, had enough credit remaining to pass it to someone else
when he left. Voice quality on the calls I received here in Oz was
excellent.

You may have problems finding a public phone!
