Default Accomodation Question Sydney - Coff's Harbour

I would like to drive from sydney - Coff's Harbour return , late October. I
know when I want to stay in Coff's harbour but the rest of the time I would
like to just wonder and pick a B&B or Motel near the end of the day.
Are there lots of places that you can just get overnight accom without a
reservation or is it necessary to preplan and have a res in advance

Given the time of year and the area in which you're travelling you shouldn't
have any problem

No problems. Head for a beachside town when you decide to stop; the
hardest part will be choosing from the abundance of Motels (not many
B&Bs). Many of them will put discount price boards out as the day gets
later. Budget $35 to $80 depending on the quality you want.
Also, pick up the accommodation directory from an NRMA shop when you
arrive. If you are an auto club member at home you may get
complimentary membership and discounts. Even if you don't the maps and
directories are brilliant. Check it at http://www.nrma.com.au
