This is a nonsense! Don't be taken in by it. You have to phone a national
non-geographical number first and that is charged at 11p per minute.
Check with BT. The number begins 0870. I have just checked with them. Go
to the advertised web-site and you will see that they are all
non-geographical numbers.

I gave up after a while..anyone have any luck? I thought the

Non geo numbers are profit shared, ex-amount going to BT and
ex-amount going to the holder of the non-geo number.

These numbers are not part of any all-in tariffs, they are extra to
whatever anyone in the UK pays for 'inclusive' rentals. They are
rarely discounted.

Geographic numbers on the other hand can attract discounts via
different carriers, my own carrier - not BT - is substantially
cheaper than BT .

Anyone calling geographical UK numbers from abroad will happily find
these numbers discounted.

BT's national call charge, via an 0845 number, is:

Mon - Fri 8am to 6pm, 3p/min
Mon - Fri before 8am and after 6pm, 1p/min
Sat - Sun all the time 1p/min

0870 is:

7.51, 3.75 and 1.5p/min for the same times above.
