Morocco

When is it best to visit? My two choices would be either the end of
December and all January or the the end of June and all July... 5
weeks total...

What places should I visit that some travellers may otherwise ignore?

Any and all recommendations are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Pablo,

the best imho is december - january. In the summer, it's too hot for the
south and the desert, when in the winter you can enjoy nearly all the
country (you can have some problems passing some moutains, taht's all).

Places... many names, Tan Mel, M'Goun, Aglou, Mirleft, Dunes of Beraghwa...
If you want to have a look at our site, you can get a lot of ideas there...
even to travail by your own !
Kind regards

If you visit the north of Morrocco any season is good because the climat
is mild during the all year,in Tangier where i live the averege is 13C
in the winter and 23 in the summer. But the south is to avoide during
the summers.
The best cities you can visit in the north
are,Tangier,Asilah,Tetouan, and chefchaoun. If you need more informations
let me know,it will be a pleasure for me to help.Mohammed

Re: Morocco

Hi, I agree that December would be best. It is true that the north is milder all year round (in some places it can feel quite cool at night time) but I found that its really hot the further inland you travel.

My favourite so far is Marrakech, you cannot visit Morocco and not go there. Theres alot of places to visit (some tourist places, some not), Jemma El Fna is amazing, day and night. The others I cannot remember the names of but you could ask when you get there!
Also, not far from Marrakech is Ourika, amazing scenery, food, atmosphere..... Theres also a waterfall but we didnt get to see it due to having to climb and we had very young children with us, we intend to go next time!

I have also been to Agadir, its very modern/european looking, it has a nice beach, worth a visit if you're near.
Also, Rabat, Tangier and Sidi Ifni, I only passed thorugh so didnt see much but intend to return!

Generally I would say visit as many places as you can in the 5 weeks you are there. Its an amzaing place, I have been 3 times now and will hopefully go again next year.
Good luck and enjoy it!
