Default Egypt Travel Agent

I'm looking for a reliable travel agent/hotel booking in Cairo. Already found a huge
list of travel agents there, but how to pick a good one?

Any experience?

When we stayed in Egypt in 2000 the company we went with used Eastmar for all the
bookings. I don't know if they will also book hotels for you or if they still exist
but they were excellent for tours and other stuff like that - may be worth
investigating.

If you are just looking for a brilliant hotel then try the Movenpick in Giza just
outside Cairo. That is where we stayed for a few days before flying to
Sharm-el-Sheikh for a week then on to Luxor. Once again Eastmar were used here too.
The hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed at and the food was lovely. I
recommend it to anybody.

Thanks Scott.

I just read a *****+ travel report in Swedish. A guy just returned home from Egypt
where he went for a trip that seem to be just about exactly what I'm planning.

He stayed in 20 EGP hotels, I might step up a little bit, but Mövenpick and other 4-5
star hotels are out of the question. It should be cheap.

BTW, here is are the links for those that realised that Swedish is the only language
you ever need to know!

Hello.

You should be aware that these are the kind of hotels that keep you away from the
real country you're in. But on the other hand, Anders already said he chooses
hotels in the 20 egp-class. Personnaly, I think you shouldn't expect too much from
these too.

Regards, John.

Yep, but the Movenpick in Giza was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed
in We picked the more expensive ones because we knew we wouldn't get anything at
the cheaper ones.
