What would you buy?
I know similar questions have been asked before, but what would you buy in the UK if you were moving now?
We have been visiting for 12 years now, and have a fully kitted out apartment, but in anticipation of our full time move we have been mulling over what we should be taking that may be more expensive or difficult to find.
I'm thinking more gadgets and house fittings rather than foodstuffs or consumables. (Firesticks we have already)

I assume you mean 'buy in the UK before emigrating?'
A TV licence, so I wouldn't feel guilty when I click 'Yes' when I'm using BBC IPlayer.

Dont know if they are easy to get where you are, but dyson fans for silent breezes in the heat and battery vacuum cleaners which are just so useful.
A british tv license makes no legal difference to your theft of tv abroad / doesnt make it legal, but if it makes it feel nicer :-)

Isn't it more akin to picking up carelessly loaded spilt oranges from the back of a speeding lorry? The BBC broadcasting beyond UK borders is not intentional, thus not in expectation of pecuniary reward. How would it feel to have the lorry driver stop his vehicle 200 yards down the road and present you with an invoice?

We brought out most of our gadgets and hubby changed the plugs to 2 pin. Anything we decided we didn't need/want to use over here has gone to a charity shop for sale.
