Default Video calls

Is anyone using MEO 4G for video calls (Microsoft Teams or similar). Curious if it is up to the job as a property I am looking at doesn't have Fibre (yet)?

Yes, I'm on MEO 4G at the moment, PAYGO €1/day, unlimited. No problem streaming UK TV, video Whatsapp etc but it depends on where you are, some providers can be better than others depending on location.

Used NOS 4G hotspot unlimited for a few months before we got ADSL (now fibre) and it was fine for one call, but struggled with two of us on separate calls. But it will be very dependent on strength of signal and on number of other users in the vicinity, so really the best answer is go there and try it (ideally within the property if you can, as that can have a big impact on signal)

I'd say it was around equal to ADSL for us, main reason we switched is that it's a pain to get Wi-Fi throughout the house from a mobile hotspot. If you have the option of ADSL it's probably preferable, but it depends on so many factors it's hard to say for certain.

You also have the option of satellite, but it's about twice the price and not great for latency!

I use Meo mobile internet in an area where voice is not very good but data is good enough for streaming Netflix to a smart TV for example and certainly OK for Zoom calls and the like.
