UK VAX CERTS.
Apologies if this has already been covered but a search through hasn't shed a light. I am pretty sure I have read this somewhere but not sure if it was here.
We have UK vax certs(double jabbed). Now with calamity coming back certificates are going to be needed again. Not sure if the rules will now accept these and I have read that we can get the EU version of them. If correct does anyone know where to start? Centro de Saude? OH is PT citizen.I am resident. Both have utente numbers. Also as we have now returned here we will need a booster jab(had 1 and 2 and Flu in UK) after 6 months. We are a bit off the tourist trail so no pop in vax centres to check. Any advice much appreciated.
PS . Can PT scanners read the UK QR codes of our vax certs?

Answer - yes ... that is the place to start as they should be able to register you both into the PT vaccination system confirming the details on the NHS UK certs. Also if you are over 50, ask them about the booster for when you are due as scheduling is already under way (so far its for the J&J Janssen one, Pfizer and others soon) so you need to get into the system. If for some reason they cannot do it all themselves, they will be able to advise you what to do!!

Re: UK VAX CERTS.
Just a note on this.
I had 2 jabs in PT (Cominarty)
Not too sure how PT would be rolling out boosters, I was able to get a booster in UK (showed them EU certificate).
Received a card showing date/batch and it said Pfizer.
Ironically back in PT 1st Nov and after 3 days received text asking me to get a booster.
Told them I had already had it.
Went to C de S to register the booster in PT system and the nurse doing the job, would not accept my NHS card as it did not say Cominarty.

Oh dear ... given the onsite of the new Omicron variant, travel advice in/out of Portugal is changing:
https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/portugal
specifically:
"If you do not have one of the COVID certificates mentioned above, or if entering Portugal from 1 December 2021 (subject to further clarification from the Portuguese authorities), you must:

Are you still registered with the NHS? If so your vaccination booster should automatically be registered and your downloaded certificate will say Cominarty.

Re: UK VAX CERTS.
Now sorted with CdeS, the nurse has noted the booster jab, but oddly it says it was done in PT !!
Also hasn`t yet appeared on the EU certificate, only the first 2 jabs are mentioned on that.
Presume at some stage it will appear??
Or is it like in UK, where GPs systems notes aren`t the same as the National ones

Mmmm. Now not sure whether to ask for my booster here in Hong Kong ðŸ‡ðŸ‡° or wait until I get back to Lagos in January. Not sure what a cominarty is or what it does but it sounds like I might need one and don’t know whether such exists here …

Ask at your nearest/largest Pharmacy - ours makes appointments and does the certification (they also sell self-testing antigens but you cannot use that for travel). Also the likes of Fernanda Gallo analysis offices will book appointments for their staff to take the samples - only certain ones have the facility, but ask and they or the Pharmacy will direct you where to go in your town.

Theres no advantage to having all shots the same and in fact recent research show these two to be the best booster shots, whatever the original vaccine https://www.bbc.com/news/health-59489988

No, I already posted this on the Covid Booster thread, Portugal is only using the Comirnaty-Pfizer and Spikevax-Moderna
