hi all
anyone give a sensible translation of this............`.Revisão Intermédia com mudança de óleo de marca (óleo adicional) e filtro incluido`.
Would this mean that oil and filter is included in the price??

its an interesting conundrum, that I reckon, only I could have gotten into.
A couple of weeks ago I bought some 10/40 Catrol GTX on promotion from a national garage service company. I already had an oil filter from my car bought from elsewhere. With the intention of changing the oil and filter myself at some warmer day in the future.
However during last week I discovered that the front discs and pads on the car are worn out and need replacing. Best deal I could get for complete replacement of both fronts was from same national company where i bought the oil, 2 weeks ago (all recorded with my NIF).
I booked the car in for the job to be done, but before they started I asked if they could change the oil and filter, using my oil (bought from them) and the filter I had bought elsewhere. The counter staff said they need to talk to the manager to confirm if possible. I said to her, if the filter is a problem because I did not buy it from you, then can you do it anyway, but charge me for one of your suitable filters.......Result came back, no its fine we will use your oil and filter.
When the whole job was done and I went to pay, they had added on to the cost of discs and pads the sum of €54.00 for an Intermediate Service check.
I mentioned that.....hey, you used my oil and filter, so why are you charging me so much (i had it in mind that the charge for doing the oil/filter change would be around €20 for labour only, considering the car was gonna be on a lift for the disc change)..... I argued best I could but to no avail and I had to pay the extra €54.00.
Now it comes to the interesting question..........The final full invoice/receipt I have, again with NIF, shows the original agreed cost of the brakes and then a description for the oil change.
That has been allocated to an Intermediate Service check, which if I had bought it separately, would have cost €54, and would have included THEIR oil and filter provided, along with a 22 point check list.....but I have nothing, no oil, no filter and no check report.
So it would seem to me that their stock control system, would have removed one 5lt can of oil and one filter from their Stock, but of course their oil and filter was not used.
They have not offered to give me one of their 5ltr cans of own brand oil or a filter, but I have been charged for it........what to do??
I feel that someone can now simply take a 5ltr can and an oil fliter and that will not show up as a loss to the company, as they were never used i the first place......
Of course I appreciate that I should have had hem confirm the actual price they were going to charge for this, but it was seen as ,,,no worries we will do what you no mention that they would charge me for an interim service check but use my oil at the same price, my answer would of course have been .....dont bother I wlll do it myself.
Lesson learned (again), which no doubt I will have forgotten next time around.
