Default Tax Portal Password - accountant.

I received my tax portal password and can now log in.

My question is do I give my password to an accountant, once I've picked one to use?

The letter that came with the password made a point of saying to keep the password secure.
Now that all tax returns must be filed online I guess that you have to trust your accountant with your password.

I was always on PAYE in the UK, and never needed an accountant, so all this is new to me.

if you want them to file your return you have no option . You can always change it after they have done the declaration.

Thank you. I thought that would probably be the case.
