taking furniture to Portugal
We have a place in Portugal which we've mainly furnished over there, but we would like to take two settees out from home. Does anyone know of anyone who takes part loads, or is anyone going over in the next few months who has space? Obviously we'd be willing to pay!!!!

Re: taking furniture to Portugal
hi,we are moving in jan 08 to portugal so made a start on quotes, found a wonderful company, that goes over once a month, totally insured and really helpful, you simply pay for the room on the lorry you need to use, details as follows
New concept removals
tel:08450046827
charges:£100 collection fee
£95 per sq metre
if it needs to go to storage on otherside for a while its free for two weeks
£25000 goods liability covered for loss or damage of goods
they are also on the net.
hope this helps

Re: taking furniture to Portugal
thanks for the replies. Because they're settees they will obviously take up a fair amount of room and combining this with the collection fee could make it an expensive option. Does anyone know of a company that don't charge a collection fee?
ps thanks for the tip Cleri
