Re: storm
I use windguru and the PT meteorological service website.
Also https://www.ipma.pt/pt/otempo/obs.remote/ Radar is good for predicting the next hour or two. I sure have a lot of work to do when it stops; strimming trimming mowing cutting stacking burning... |
Re: storm
Hi, after the recent storms we sprung some leaks. Water ingress through chimney for oven extractor. Broken tiles letting water in and terraces that are leaking.
can anyone recommend waterproofing products or sealants? Or is this a new roof time :( if so can you recommend a roofer. we are in fontainhas near albufeira thanks https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...9b155fcf3.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...452334ed6.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...1a944e8d2.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...3eb94cf1a.jpeg |
Re: storm
You'll need to replace the cracked tiles for sure; the crack around the base of the chimney is more difficult.
There are a lot of sealant products, I don't have personal experience of them though. If you have to DIY it, go to a paint shop that stocks Sika products and ask their advice. I just had a mail from a friend up near Porto; the damage there is MUCH worse. |

Re: storm
Looks like you also need a decent chimney flashing.
