The one I remember was 10cc 'I'm Not In Love'

Love 'Hallelujah' though was brought up on LC's original. Do you think people have it tagged as a religious song?

Oooh, 'I'm not in love' reminds me of bank holiday weekends down at Margate on the UK's east coast when I was young and fancy free.:D

Yes I think perhaps some people may have. I listened to Jeff Buckleys version for the first time today. Quite moving I thought and it's #2 back home. Sad he died so young though. Sorry, couldn't embed this one.....

I prefer John Cale's version, eldest prefers Jeff Buckley's. I hate the x factor version - no understanding of the words. :curse:

So many of the good die young. I think he would have had a wonderful future musically, but not to be. He has a 'song' Corpus Christi Carol from the Grace album which is so spine tinglingly beautiful.

Wow, thanks for the Lou Reed reminder! I'm going to listen to him in the car when I go out later.

It was Margate and it was called 'Dreamland'. We took out son to Rochester Castle when he was small as he loved history, so we tried to get round all the castles of Great Britain before we eventually came here, but never quite made it. We will one day hopefully.
