Anyone got any experience of these systems streaming UK TV?

Yes - have worked with Slingbox and think there are better options now. You need good quality good speed internet to make it work and there is no longer any advantages over using an IPTV box, in fact IPTV gives you more direct control, is a lower initial investment and a lower running cost.
