Residency info for those with Portuguese spouse
Iam UK citizen OH is Portuguese.
Rather than overstay my welcome and having had lots of different advice.Nearing my 90 days we trotted off to the local freguesia to get a short term residency card. Lovely lady there told me i could stay as long as I liked but suggested that before the 183 days i should pop back to see what the latest info was. No need for short term card.Went round the corner to register with the local health centre, and can now use health service. It took a week to get this sorted as the dept of health site doesn't particularly like or want to accept UK registration numbers,but the receptionist was not thwarted by red tape and got me my document eventually.
