Rendered wall cost
Any idea of cost of wall 30m long 1m high, with 4 steel horizontal square sectional galvanised poles across castellated look. Ie 3m wall 3m poles repeated
Founds are already in place
Cheers, just concerned I'm being overcharged

Anything from 1800 to 2800 e
All builders are busy in our area π
People who have lived here a good while tell me I'm having my pants pulled down at 1800e but going to have to make the decision today.....
Thanks for the reply BTW π

I used use in a previous life the rate of 1.1 m2 of 150mm per man hour based on a 2 brick/block layers + 1 labourer. With some calculations you can work out how long the job should take plus a margin for standing around twiddling their thumbs.

Re: Rendered wall cost
Seems rather steep to me also, 30sqm means you'll be paying β¬60sqm.... I reckon you could get your walls done in marble tile for that!
Using the method mentioned above.....
30sqm at 1.1sqm per hour = 27 hrs labour
therefore β¬67 an hour, so even if the material casts β¬10 per sqm that still means β¬57 per hour for a guy and his labourer.
Yes builders seem very busy in Portugal at the moment but that still equates to 3 times per hour what I've found for similar jobs.
All only my 2 cents worth but I'd trust your instincts on this one.
Good luck

Re: Rendered wall cost
Only able to get two quotes, time is the issue, wall will be made at 1800e, both sides of the wall will be rendered so 60m2 and concrete coping stones to the tops.
I'll keep an eye on how long it takes and how many men do the job.
Too late to make changes now though.
Eta the buggers have turned up and started already 3 blokes on the job
Ps we have found plumbers/ heating engineers are in tight supply and are making a killing too.
Up North in UK I could have work done MUCH cheaper than here π

Good luck... the truth is if you're left very happy with the finished job then it will be worth every penny.

Re: Rendered wall cost
It's ended up an add on to our pool project, I think the builder got caught out offside on his price due to not properly taking into account the lay of the land and needing extra materials, and has made up for some of it on the extra work.
Theyβve been a good set of grafters and the work they've done has been good thus far

Re: Rendered wall cost
Normal cost for 1mtr block wall rendered/painted, but in a solid foundation would be β¬100/m
