Default property sale and reinvestment rules

Does anyone know off hand, if when you sell a property in PT and tell the notary that you intend to reinvest a certain % or amount, given that you have 3 years after sake to do that, if you actually end up reinvesting (inc IMT) less than you said, what are the ramifications regarding Tax. Would it be simply to pay the difference or would there be a fine as well?

Ramifications regarding tax for not reinvesting the full stated amount after selling a property in PT would depend on Portuguese tax laws and regulations. Btw I am not a lawyer so you may need to get help from an expert.
