Default Propane costs

hi
Not had bottled gas for over 20 years but just took delivery of a 45kg bottle from company installing an esquentador.
Cost of bottle invoiced at €96.50 inc IVA this is for Galp.

How does that compare to any others on the forum?

I was with a friend last week who asked in one of the local shops & he was quoted about €50 for the bottle & about €85 for the gas....................... I might be slightly wrong on those figures & I'm going from memory but I think they were more or less the figures quoted.

Last week I paid €103 for a large bottle of BP propane, delivered to my house, up from €95 last year.

Thanks replies.
So 96.50 sounds a bit on the cheaper side.
BTW they charged €40 for the bottle and delivery was free. (Main Galp dealer in Portimao)

Just thinking about it, maybe delivery was included as free because I was having an esquentador fitted by the same company.
Interestingly but not so amusing, after esquentador fitted and connected to water and gas, turned on water tap to boiler...............NO WATER !!
We looked around to see if a problem, all other cold water taps/toilets working fine just no water at the boiler.
On inspection of the main joining valves in the kitchen the gasman sid....ermmmm I think they have connected a hot to a cold !!!
Called in the plumber that had installed the water system.........result.yes, wrongly connected.....water to boiler is fed direct from the street. But not in my case.
Now needs to change pipework in the valve on Monday.......yet another `cock up`.

Last week €76.50 inc delivery in small village outside Sesimbra. Seems we have a bargain.

That's an unbelievable price difference. I presume you have the large propane bottle? What make of gas bottle? I live just outside the main town of Olhão, 4 km at the most.
