pharmacies

I've read that:

" Many of Portugal’s larger pharmacies offer tests for things like diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure."

Is this true and if so how do I find one of these larger pharmacies that can check blood pressure or that sell me a blood pressure monitor? I'm near Albufeira.

In my experience, any pharmacy will do a blood pressure check for you, sometimes for a couple of euro, often for free

Re: pharmacies

I had BP.cholestral test done earlier this year at what I thought was a Wells Chemist, However,SWMBO has corrected me this morning !
It was actually Pharmacia Silva at the entrance to Vilamoura.
However, as far we know, Wells probably do the tests too

Thanks guys. I used Google Maps to find a nearby pharmacy with good reviews that was open Sunday evening. They had a table set up to check blood pressure; and it was for free.

yes you can have cholesterol, inc HDL and LDL as well as Triglicerides, with BP. (finger prick)
Been available at my local village pharmacy for years, also they have a chiropodist visit every month that you can attend.
All very cheap, and easy
