Looking for info on pet friendly rentals around Lisbon or Faro. Prefer out of town as we have two dogs. Will be looking to rent for 3 months plus. Thanks

Hello. I found it was very difficult to find much, but if you Google, "Pet Rentals' and the location, you should find something.

Presuming you may be looking to establish residency, make sure that your long-term rental gives a contract as that will be useful, maybe essential, for your applications. What you might do is look up on the Accommodation for holiday sites (eg Booking,com) for initial accommodation and then search locally once you have your feet on the ground. Make sure you search via filters on the sites for Pet-friendly or Pets-allowed and then check the fine print for extra charges (if applicable - not always, but useful to know!). I know that some holiday complexes are also Residential, and some private owners or even the complex owners, rent out long-term apart from the holiday trade - and some take dogs, some do not !!!
Rental contracts are not usually available for up to a month, but long-term rentals of 3 month, 6 months, or for a year should always have a contract available ...
I did a Google search "renting with pets in portugal" and got some starting ideas, but some do seem a bit expensive!!! Also from Idealista these

Thanks for that.Yes, we did try the filters and we did find the prices a bit up there. As you suggest, a short term rental initially whilst we sort out something for longer.

From personal experience of trying to do this I reached the conclusion that it was better to ask a company for some personal input and help - these folks only handle central Algarve (including Faro) and they sorted me, They have apartments and town-houses as well as glossy villas
