Default Pat on the back for HMRC

Just wanted to post a message for anyone who is wary about talking to HMRC about non resident Tax. I called them yesterday to find out about CGT on selling my main house in the UK after leaving and they were super helpful and ran my through some completion timescale scenarios and walked me through the calculations. Interestingly I asked about recording of call for future reference and was told they keep conversations for 3 years so if you noted the date and time and person you dealt with you can track your advice. Big pat on the back from me.

Yes, I too have always found HMRC to be very helpful, professional, efficient and friendly.
