Are the people sending the emails definitely using the .co.uk (and not .com) address?

Have you checked your spam folder?

Try sending some to your self, ie from and to the same email address, usually a slight delay for it to arrive.

Yes me too...(but with .com) I can send emails to my friend in UK but for the last year cannot receive her replies. It doesn't happen with anyone else (I think !) She is a yahoo user if that makes any difference. I have tried many ways to overcome this( emptying old emails etc) but no results. Also the new outlook email is awful and I refuse to use it,until they totally switch the old system off.

It depends in part how you are trying to receive/send them.

The best way to avoid problems is to initially use the appropriate webmail access, https://mail.yahoo.com/ or https://outlook.live.com/mail

This will avoid errors with POP, IMAP, and SMTP settings

I think I recently had to change the email server & authentication settings in my desktop PC's email client (Thunderbird) for my outlook.com address. appman999 's approach might help verify if that is the problem. I found settings here.

Also if you have 2FA set up on your email accounts you'll need to generate a seperate app password in the email account to allow access by your email client.

The only thing you can do really in any of these cases is check the accuracy of your settings on your local computer. That's if you are sending and receiving on the PC using a mail client like Thunderbird or Outlook and NOT via a webbrowser (WEBMAIL).

In the case of Outlook you can or course also login online and use the webmail service.
